Little Red Theatre - The Nightingale
The Nightingale by Hans Christian Andersen, is the story about a beautiful singing bird “owned” by a Chinese Emperor because her home in the woods belongs in his kingdom. In an attempt to capture her beautiful song the Emperor tries to control the bird, but to understand The Nightingale is to know the freedom we need to be exuberant and alive. Only when the Emperor relinquishes control, does the Nightingale sing freely again.
