The Russell Jackson Band has created a musically diverse blend of blues, jazz, funk, and R&B, with nods towards rock, and classic country as well. Traditional blues with modern notations of jazz and adding unique twists of other genres such as only Russell Jackson can. This album is a much needed breath of fresh air in an otherwise staling genre, hence the name Have Mercy!
